Solar Reflectance Index(SRI)
What is Solar Reflectance Index (SRI)?
The Solar Reflectance Index (SRI) is a measure of the solar reflectance and emissivity of materials that can be used as an indicator of how hot they are likely to become when solar radiation is incident on their surface.
Solar direct reflectance:
When the sunlight strikes a dark rooftop, about 15% of it gets reflected back into the sky but most of its energy is absorbed into the roof system in the form of heat. Cool roofs reflect significantly more sunlight and absorb less heat than traditional dark-coloredroofs
Emissivity
Radiation heat transfer is greatly influenced by a material's surface characteristics. Shiny materials are less capable of radiating heat than rougher "matte" surfaces. In general, polished metallic surfaces are poor far-IR absorbers (good reflectors) and are correspondingly poor emitters.
Solar Reflectance index(SRI) under different wind condition
Lune tiles are manufactured in the method of trending technology by using various natural minerals so that it consists of the highest flexural strength among other roof tiles. Lune tiles are one of the best Thermal insulation tile, cooling roof tiles. We are providing a wide range of Roof Cooling tiles to make your home more environmental. Lune tiles can reduce the roof heat by 95% which enables you to walk on a hot summer noon. Our tiles are made of composite materials that reflect the light and keep the roof cooling.
Surface temperature(Ts) under different wind conditions
Surface temperature is the temperature at or near a Lune tile surface under different wind conditions. Calculating the surface temperature under different wind conditions shows how much heat can be felt on tile surfaces.

Flexural strength Test
Flexural strength is a measure of the tensile strength of concrete beams or slabs. Flexural strength identifies the amount of stress and forces an unreinforced concrete slab, beam or other structure can withstand such that it resists any bending failures.
Flexural strength is also known as bend strength or modulus of rupture or fracture strength.
Water absorption Test
Radiation heat transfer is greatly influenced by a material's surface characteristics. Shiny materials are less capable of radiating heat than rougher "matte" surfaces. In general, polished metallic surfaces are poor far–IR absorbers (good reflectors) and are correspondingly poor emitters.
